The piercing usually takes approximately 8-10 weeks to heal it’s not suggested you change the jewelry until it’s healed. Removing the jewelry to early can delay healing and cause infections and lumps. After healed you can change the jewelry yourself or the piercer can change it for you if you like.

Clean the piercing every day in the shower, soak a cotton ball or tissue in Saline Solution or 1/2 teaspoon Sea Salt dissolved in a 1/4 glass of warm water. Place the wet cotton ball or tissue on the piercing and soak for 3-4 minutes until any crusting is removed. You can also use lavender oil as it promotes healing and lubricates the wound reducing tenderness. Apply a small amount with a cotton bud after cleaning then move the jewelry so it gets into the wound. Remove any excess with a tissue as leaving it on can cause the skin to become irritated.
